Ashley Breen, a Bachelor of Social Work student at CUNY Silberman School of Social Work, is curious about the intersection between racial/identity equity, clinical practice and research. After an in-depth exploration at past and recent literature into eating disorders, Ashley found significant service gaps regarding the populations of BIPOC and the LGBTQ+ communities. This site is dedicated to those diverse communities that are silently suffering with eating disorders.
Ashley is currently working in New York as a Recovery Coach at Monte Nido for adolescents struggling with eating disorders, as well as interning at STRIVE in Harlem, NYC with at-risk adult populations. After her BSW graduation in May 2022, Ashley plans on pursuing her MSW to further her knowledge of clinical theories.
